Journalism graduates
find market friendly

Journalism graduates in 2000 found the job market to be friendly, according to a survey results released by the University of Georgia.
Most graduates who wanted jobs found them, indeed, most had job offers waiting upon graduation.
Of bachelor's degree recipients who took communications jobs, 13.2 percent were employed in the newspaper industry. Another 16.3 percent were working in radio, television or cable, 9.6 percent were working in public relations, 2.8 percent were working in consumer magazines, and 2.4 percent were working in the newsletter or trade publication industry.
